Terms and conditions of orders placed through this website.

About us.

When you place an order via Beercottbooks.co.uk, you are entering a contract with Simon Lucas, trading as Beercott Books, Castle Cottage, Warwick Road, Kineton, CV35 0HT

Placing an order

To place an order for an item, select the item from the store, then add the item to your basket. If the item is a pre-order of a publication, then the expected publication and delivery date will be listed on the product page.

Once the items are in your basket you need to accept our terms and conditions before proceeding to the checkout.

You will be given the option to create an account on our website during the process if you do not already have one. Note this step is optional but does allow you to track your orders and order history.

Please ensure you enter a valid email address as all notification regarding the order will be sent via email.

Once you complete the checkout process you have entered into a contract to purchase the item from us subject to our cancellation policy.

Should an item become unavailable after placing an order we will notify you and cancel the order. In this instance you will be given a full refund.

Payment

When placing an order via the website, full payment including postage will be taken at the time of the order, including for items placed on pre-order. Postage costs are calculated based on the delivery address and quantity of items ordered.

For pre-orders, you will be advised of intended shipping date on the product page (usually on or around the publication date).

We currently use PayPal as our payment gateway, and all payment information will be entered directly on their website. We do not store any payment information on our website. You do not need a PayPal account to pay for an order with Beercott Books, but can pay by credit or debit card or using a PayPal account.

Note if ordering from outside the UK you will be responsible for paying any local import duties and taxes.

Delivery

Delivery costs will be calculated during the order process based on the country you are in.

Expected delivery times for pre-order items will be stated on the items product page, but such items are usually despatched on or around the actual publication date which will be stated on the product details page. Should such dates change we will notify you, and you will have the option to cancel the order and receive a full refund.

UK orders despatched by Royal Mail should arrive within 2 working days from despatch by us. Overseas orders may take longer. The actual delivery times will be governed by the carrier used and as such are out of our control.

We do not offer priority shipping.

Cancellations

Orders placed through beercottbooks.co.uk can be cancelled up to 14 days from when you receive the goods. In order to cancel an order we must be notified in writing or by email within the 14 days from receipt. Please ensure you include your order reference in any correspondence to aid speedy resolution.

Once we have been notified you wish to cancel the order, any goods received by you must be returned to us in their original condition and packaging within 30 days of receipt. If the original item ordered comes with any extra items these must also be returned in their original state. As long as the goods are returned to us in suitable condition and the order was cancelled within the above time limit we will refund the cost of the goods and original postage within 14 days of receiving the returned goods. The cost of returning the goods to us will NOT be refunded.

Orders for personalised items cannot be cancelled, and can only be returned if faulty – see returns..

Returns

Should the goods received be faulty in any way then you must notify us as soon as practically possible by email giving as much information about the fault, but in any case within 14 days of receiving the goods. The faulty goods must be returned to us within 14 days of notifying us, and we will then inspect the goods. If the goods are found to be faulty as described by you we offer to refund or exchange the item. Should the item you ordered no longer be available you will be given the option of an alternative item or a full refund.

The cost of returning the goods to us is payable by you.
