Seems like ages since we posted on our blog or sent any newsletters. We have been very busy at HQ preparing our first ever Children’s book for publication. Exciting times!

‘Stripey Enid‘ by Natasha Lea is due for general release on 12th June 2018, but will be available for pre-order on our website from late April 2018. The motto of Stripey Enid is ‘Believe in yourself, for you are unique!’ – a very important message for children in today’s world where they are constantly being told they should be like someone else.

Using a mix of simple verse and interactive tasks, it encourages children to think about things that make them special and that they should be proud of.

Small Press Day

July 7th 2018 is Small Press Day. To mark the occasion we will be joining Kenilworth Books in Warwickshire for a fun filled day where people can find out more about smaller independent publishers, the wonderful books they produce, and how they get from idea to finished book. We hope to have some illustrations from our second children’s book available for viewing on the day too which is very exciting.

To coincide with this, we will also be running a series of blog posts following the process we use to get a book from initial idea right through to print and distribution.

Entitled ‘The journey to a new book’ it will hopefully give you an insight into the various stages of producing a new book from initial idea submission through cover design, interior design, illustration, typesetting and editing all the way to getting the book into the bookshop.

If you are interested in books an dhow they are produced then be sure to check back regularly for updates in the series.
