Saturday 6th May 2017 saw us supporting one of our Authors – Kerry Lucas – at Leamington Retrofest, in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. It was a fantastic event with a wide range of stalls selling everything from retro toys to clothes and jewellery, and the venue – All Saints Church – was simply beautiful.
Kerry was there to sell her hand knitted keepsakes, as well as to test the support for her forthcoming book – ‘A Year in Woolly Wonders’. Traffic through the event was steady and Kerry’s lovely little creatures caught the eye of many visitors. Some of them were off to new homes.
Feedback from visitors to the stall was extremely complimentary about Kerry’s work, with her little frog and robin attracting particular attention. We discussed the forthcoming book with people ranging from those who simply found the creatures adorable to experienced knitters who were excited by the prospect of a book filled with quirky and unusual patterns. It was great to see we are not the only ones excited!
Registrations for regular updates about the book were good too. If you would like to hear all the latest information about the book including special early bird offers, then send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will keep you updated.
