Supporting Children’s Mental Health

At Beercott Books we are proud to support Pace2Be’s Children’s Mental Health week. Mental health issues generally are not given enough priority in the world, especially when it comes to children.

We currently have two children’s book in our catalogue and they are both focused on building a child’s self esteem and acceptance.

Stripey Enid‘ by Natasha Lea, is a very simple interactive book which uses simple rhyme and tasks to help children think what is good about themselves. Being different is what makes us unique! We also have an education pack available which includes stickers and a poster.

Felix the Fox and his Awesome Odd Socks‘ by Katie Dodd is a colourful picture book which is all about accepting people who are different. Felix the fox is a yellow fox, who wears square glasses and rocks odd socks. Follow him on his journey where he meets a little bird with a broken wing and a blue eye. Together they talk about how being different doesn’t mean you are any less special, and you should still be proud of who you are.

Felix is due out on 29th February 2020 but can be pre-ordered from our website. All orders placed with us before release day will be signed and come with a surprise free gift.

In support of mental health, a percentage of all proceeds from the sale of these books in 2020 will be donated to mental health charities!
